Introduction

575th Operations Group,

575th Operations Group is a United States Army Military Simulation Unit based on the real life 75th Rangers and Green Berets in the game ArmA III during the present day. We host deployment operations on our private servers using; Terrain, Medical, Weapon, Radio, Vehicle modifications.

Our structure, ranks, billets, and atmosphere is closely related to the U.S. Army. And we strive to be as similar to the army as possible.

We are a serious unit, looking for quality members to take part in our missions and events. We are willing to work with anyone who has the right attitude and mindset.

We made this unit because of bad leadership, gameplay, and overall manipulation of players and we look to fix the problems of most milsims these days and make the best possible experience for milsims'iers.

Basic Requirements

  • You must be at least 16 years old.
  • You must have a legal copy of ArmA 3.
  • You must be proficient in the English language.
  • TeamSpeak 3 VOIP Client and working microphone/speakers/headset. You need to hear us, we need to hear you. You will not be allowed to begin initial training without these.
  • Ability to attend at least two of our unit wide events each month for ArmA III on every Saturday and Sunday of each week at around 1830 (6:30pm) Eastern Standard Time (Unit Time).

Our Definition of Military Simulation

Operations Group 575 is a Military Simulation unit. The meaning of this tends to vary within the ARMA community there are many units offering competing levels of tactical realism and bureaucratic simulation.

To us this means that we use proper military tactics while in game, we do have rank, but primary to define roles within the game we do not desire or expect saluted or to be called sir.

Our definition of Military Simulation to help you evaluate our play style:

  • View is restricted to first-person, except when in vehicles.
  • Advanced ACE Medical Simulation with KAT
  • ACE Advanced Medical is used, with an Advanced CPR mod.
  • Gear is handled via a restricted arsenal, available in-mission at deployment zones.
  • Respawns and join-in-progress is generally allowed, and handled by Zeus.
  • In addition to the server mod list, some client-side modifications are allowed.
  • Personal Arsenal is not allowed under any circumstances.

Real Life Comes First

We understand that ARMA is just a game and as such you might not always be able to attend. We never want you to be in a position where you are sacrificing your real life activities to meet our requirements and we implement strong redundancy plans at every level of the chain of command so that absence does not affect the wider group.

However, we also encourage you to think about the good of the unit when you need to be absent and consider stepping down from your position to take a Leave of Absence in the event that life takes an unforeseen turn.

Please just communicate, use the discord so that as a unit we have proper expectations.
